About Us
What is PROPS 2.0?
PROPS 2.0 (Partnerships for Reducing Overweight and Obesity with Patient-Centered Strategies 2.0) is a 12-month program that pairs an online program or app called RestoreHealth with live, one-on-one coaching. We are piloting this program that will be offered as standard of care. The purpose of this program is to help you learn healthy habits, lose weight, and improve your health. You can access the program from a computer, tablet, or smartphone – any device where you can access the Internet. There are no in-person visits for this program. You may be asked to participate in a research study to complete brief surveys or interviews about your participation in the program, although these are entirely voluntary.
If you are eligible and decide to enroll in PROPS 2.0, you will register for RestoreHealth and use it for 12 months.
Once you register, you will be able to:
- View brief lessons that focus on helping you improve your nutrition, exercise, sleep, and stress
- Track your weight, sleep, and activity to measure your progress
- Get regular, personalized feedback and support from a health coach
We will also update your BWH healthcare provider(s) about your progress in the program.
To participate in this program, you must:
- Be at least 20 years old
- Have a primary care provider (does not need to be BWH) and a healthcare provider at BWH
- Have a body mass index (BMI) of at least 30 or a BMI between 25 and 30 kg/m2 with other medical conditions (don’t worry if you don’t know your BMI – the survey below will assess this)
